Especially when I only pretend to use it to please my principal so she can, in turn, please the QR people. Then, they can please Bloomy & Klein and we all look like one happy, data driven family.
Honestly, there really is nothing that pisses me off more than wasting time doing senseless work. If the UFT would even attempt to make the contract the tiniest bit clearer ("needless or unnecessary" paperwork) then I might have access to one of the 9, NINE school aids my principal has to do all of her tedious office work.
How is it that there are so many administrators, etc. in the system that not only forgot about what it is like to be in the classroom, but that completely gave up on actually giving a damn about our students learning, feeling inspired to learn, and growing into the leaders of tomorrow? Ugh, call me a hard-core optimist, but I want my students to succeed in life so that they are not mugging me on street corners when they are strung out junkies who don't know the difference between a gram and an ounce. I also don't want them to get into politics or any other job where they would be making decisions that have an effect on more than 1 or 2 intelligent tax payers. Yikes.
